Dairy-Free Parmesan Cheese

Whether you eat dairy or not, this spin on parmesan cheese is too good not to try! Hemp seeds have a mild, nutty flavor that works really well in this savory recipe. Hemp seeds also add in some extra fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals. BOOM!

Sprinkle on top of your favorite gluten free pasta, pizza or anything else that’s made better with a little cheesy goodness!

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup macadamia nuts (cashews also work)

  • 3 Tbsp nutritional yeast

  • 2-3 Tbsp hemp seeds/hearts

  • 1/4 tsp garlic granules

  • 3/4 tsp sea salt


Instructions

  • Lightly toast the nuts by spreading them out on a baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 6-10 minutes, shaking halfway through. Trust your nose, not the timer! Toasted nuts smell fragrant and roast-y, not burnt. Let nuts cool for 5-10 minutes

  • Add everything to a food processor and pulse until it’s the size of grated parmesan

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge
